Las Palmas looking to get back to winning ways, after their first defeat of the season last weekend away to Sporting Gijon.

This should be a close game as Alcorcón have the same points as LP but sit one place behind them, in 4th place.

Tonight’s visitors are based from just north of Madrid.

Good start by the home team, as they win a corner in the first 2mins and from it Garcia should have done better at the far post.

Another couple of good chances arrive, but both times Rafa Mir can’t beat the first man with 2 poor crosses.

Throughout an unintersting first half the crowd are becoming frustrated due to the home side wasting the ball in good positions.

No more chances – Half Time 0-0

HT Verdict – A good start by Las Palmas who certainly should have done better in the first few mins with a couple of good chances.

They are playing some good football but the final ball is letting them down.

Alcorcón have not made Raul in the home goal event try to make a save yet! They look quite happy defending and keeping LP out and look content with going for the draw.

Sergio Araujo is warming up , I think he will make a great partnership upfront with Castro!

After 5mins Araujo comes on and already looks sharp and wins a corner.

Then up the other end the visitors finally also win a corner.

74mins a good quick break from the visitors but it’s cleared for the corner.

They are slowly coming into this game and LP need to be careful not to be caught out on the break.

79mins a long ball over the top to Castro, he goes around the keeper but he goes too wide and the keeper makes the save and ball goes for a corner.

Another long ball over the top and Blum goes round the keeper and puts it in the net but the ref gives offside.

The Crowd in line with that go crazy and let the ref know their feelings.

No more chances for either side and it all ends in a goalless draw!

Full Time – Las Palmas 0 Alcorcón 0

The Saint’s Verdict –
Another 2 points dropped at home.

LP will be disappointed not to get the win as they dominated the match but just couldn’t find the final ball.

Alcorcón came for a draw and defended well. LP need to find ways of breaking down teams like these as I can see many teams coming to the Island and setting up for a draw.

Next home match – Numancia 20th October 17.00 KO.
