Friday brings a classic “two‑climate” Gran Canaria day: mostly sunny and warm in the south and west, with a little more cloud clinging to the north coast and the higher interior. Around Mogán and the southwest resorts, expect highs close to 23–24°C 23–24°C, gentle breezes around 10 km/h and virtually no chance of rain, ideal for a lazy beach day or a dip in sea water still around 22ºC.

Evening Christmas lights‑on festivities in Telde, Gáldar and San Mateo should find dry skies and comfortable temperatures near 18–20°C 18–20°C at the start, sliding down towards the mid‑teens later, particularly inland. Shoppers and revellers in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria can expect mild conditions with just some passing high cloud, a gentle breeze and no significant weather warnings in effect.

Saturday 29th | The Star Performer 🌟

•  The best day of the weekend. Wall-to-wall sunshine for most of the island.

• 🎯 Best For: The Anfi Mogán Open Water swim (conditions look ideal with light winds) and the La Aldea Tomato Fair.

• 🌡️ Temps: Nudging 23°C in the sun; feeling very pleasant.

• 💨 Wind: Gentle breezes from the North-East (15-20 km/h).

Saturday is set to be the sweetest beach day of the weekend, with AEMET pointing to clear or slightly cloudy skies in the south and southwest, coastal highs nudging 24–25°C 24–25°C and only light winds. That is very good news for the Anfi Mogán Open Water swim and for anyone enjoying the Playa de Mogán Christmas lights‑on, tapas fair or the bustling Christmas programme at Mogan Mall in Puerto Rico. Sea conditions are generally slight, with modest Atlantic swell and no coastal warnings, so crossings and boat trips should be smooth, though swimmers should still respect currents and lifeguard guidance.​​

Up in Tejeda, Agüimes and other mid‑altitude towns, Saturday will feel cooler, with maximums nearer 18–20°C 18–20°C and a greater share of cloud, especially later in the afternoon, but rain risk stays very low so the Christmas markets, concerts and Manga‑themed fun in Guía can go ahead in comfort.

•  A copy of Saturday with a touch more cloud later in the day.

• 🌥️ North: Dry but partly cloudy—ideal for strolling the Agüimes Christmas Market without getting sweaty.

• ☀️ South: Holding steady with blue skies and 22°C highs. Great for Sunday lunch outdoors.

By contrast, Sunday starts to show the first signs of change: still bright and warm in the south with highs around 23–24°C 23–24°C, but with thicker cloud pushing into the north and highlands and a slightly higher chance of a light shower, particularly towards evening.​​

For Fataga Rural Day, the Gáldar Farmers’ Market and the opening stage of Gran Canaria Bike Week, conditions remain generally favourable, with light to moderate winds and mostly dry spells, though cyclists tackling the northern and central routes may encounter patchy low cloud and brief damp patches on shaded mountain roads. Evening temperatures everywhere drop back into the mid‑teens, so whether you are lingering in village plazas or strolling seafront promenades, a light jacket or cardigan will be welcome once the sun dips.​​

The city is now bursting with light—natural sunshine and the artificial streams from over three million LEDs that begin to sparkle at dusk, providing the backdrop to an extensive, fun, and versatile cultural program suitable for all ages.

‘Fataga Rural’, a day dedicated to traditions, roots, and, above all, to the people of this picturesque village, this Sunday.

There will be a pottery exhibition and workshop, where attendees can see and learn the art of hand-modeling clay, a tradition that remains alive in the midlands.
An exhibition and workshop on shepherd’s leap, an ancestral practice that demonstrates the skill and ingenuity of the shepherds in the most challenging terrains of the Canary Islands.
Browse the craft market, where local artisans will offer unique products, made with love and traditional knowledge.

Tapas route
During the morning, from 10:00 to 13:30, you can also participate in the Tapas Route through the local restaurants, where you can enjoy a tapa for €3.50. An excellent opportunity to savour the best of the local cuisine.

And as a special moment of the day, a tribute to the rural men of Fataga, true guardians of our traditions and examples of hard work, effort, and love for the land.

It’s going to be a busy day on Mogán beaches with another edition of the Anfi Mogán Open Water swimming competition taking place this Saturday.

The south coast of Gran Canaria kicks off the 2025/26 Open Water Series.

La Aldea de San Nicolás is celebrating a new edition of the Tomato Fair on November 28 and 29, an event that pays tribute to the most emblematic agricultural product of the municipality.  This year, the program has been expanded, combining training, gastronomy, art, music, and activities for all audiences.

The fair is a tribute to the agricultural history and the efforts of all the generations of farmers who have made the tomato a symbol of the village’s identity. The distinctive quality of La Aldea tomatoes reinforces their role as an economic and cultural engine for the municipality.

Friday, November 28:
18:00 to 21:00, a technical session at the Senior Centre/Centro de Mayores.
This session will include a technical talk on the unique qualities of tomatoes and product diversification; a roundtable discussion entitled “Micro-experiences,” where various industry stakeholders will share case studies and noteworthy initiatives; a gastro-cocktail demonstration by Tahiche Puig entitled “Tomato Soul”; and the showcooking event “The Tomato in the Kitchen” with chefs Saylem Cuevas (winner of the 1st Prize at the 2025 GastroCanarias Canary Islands Young Chefs Championship) and José Vasco. The day will conclude with a cocktail and food tasting, where attendees can enjoy a cocktail and various culinary creations based on tomatoes.

🍅 Residents and visitors can enjoy various conferences about the main product, such as ‘Colours and flavours in the tomato’; ‘The tomato, a red treasure for health’; or ‘La Aldea, pantry of flavours’. 

🍅 In addition, the youngest attendees can enjoy the children’s cooking workshop ‘Pizza and Vol-au-vent’ led by Andrés Borges.

🍅 There will also be cooking demonstrations with Kilian Norbedo, Saylem Cuevas, and Regina Ojeda, where the local tomato will take center stage. On Saturday, Tahiche Puig will once again demonstrate the versatility of tomatoes in cocktail making with a new gastro-cocktail session.

The Santa Brígida City Council dedicates the month of November to paying tribute to the town’s local wines and its valuable cultural heritage with the Santa Brígida con Vinos 2025 program, a well-established event that celebrates the municipality’s winemaking wealth through wine tourism, gastronomy, and culture.

From November 2 to 30, residents and visitors have been able to enjoy a full calendar of activities, from blind dinners, guided tastings, audio pairings, wine and live music nights, heritage tours, and winery visits, among other offerings that will make Santa Brígida the epicenter of wine in Gran Canaria throughout the month.

The second Guía Manga Festival will fill Guía’s Plaza Grande with Japanese anime culture this Saturday

From 10:00 to 20:00 at Plaza Grande, a wide range of leisure activities related to anime, manga, and Japanese culture.

The program includes a cosplay catwalk, idol showcases, K-pop dances, a video game zone, talks, tournaments, raffles, and a food area dedicated to Japanese cuisine, where ramen will take centre stage. The event will also feature performances by prominent Canarian artists and a shop specialising in manga merchandise.

The 37th edition of Gran Canaria Bike Week is held between 30 November- 7 December 2025. 

“Remember, that when there is a sporting event happening on Gran Canaria it also means that there might be
some brief traffic delays on the cycling routes and throughout the days planned.”

One week, seven stages, and 550 kilometers. This event is expected to bring together around 800 participants in the TotalEnergies Gran Fondo Pico de las Nieves [stage 1], in addition to an average of 200 cyclists for each of the remaining stages.
