  Las Palmas    v      Ponferradina –  28/03/15

After no wins in the last 5 matches and dropping down to 5th in the league, LP host 7th placed Ponferradina.

Ponferradina, from the Castile & Leon region, north of Madrid, finished 15th last season.

A nice attacking move from LP in the opening minutes comes to nothing, as ends offside.  Ten minutes later a poor back-pass by a Ponferradina defender goes straight to Araujo, who calmly takes it around the advancing keeper slotting straight into a empty net.

1-0 LP.

15mins in and the 1st yellow card of the match goes to Ramirez from the away team. Closely followed by the 1st corner to LP, easily cleared.

More poor defending by the away team gifts Aleman a good chance on the edge of the box, but he shoots wide when he should of done better.

Coming up to the first half hour and a quick break by LP, ball plays wide to Araujo, he beats his man and whips in a lovely cross to the far post for Nauzet to fire in.

2-0 LP

Straight from the kick off, Ponferradina breaks down the right wing, crosses into the middle where Berrocal slots it in at the far post.

2-1.

Goal scorer Nauzet get booked for a trip. Just as the first half is coming to a close another quick break by LP, but Herman plays the wrong pass and the move breaks down.

Half Time :

Las Palmas look very dangerous on the break tonight and they are playing some excellent fast flowing football. They have scored 2 good goals but will be disappointed with conceding straight after going 2-0 up. There’s plenty more goals in this game but they need to keep it tight at the back.
