Maspalomas Costa Canaria Christmas Market

The second Maspalomas Costa Canaria Christmas Market, emphasising solidarity and family,  will be held from 18:00 on Thursday December 7, until 19:00 on Sunday, in the Parque Urbano del Sur.
The event is part of a municipal campaign entitled ‘Un poco de ti, es mucho’ (“a little from you, is a lot”), which the town hall is promoting out throughout the municipality to collect non-perishable food items, especially for children, and personal hygiene products for children and adults in impoverished families.
The lighting of the Christmas tree this Thursday at 18.15, will take place as part of “a magical Christmas story designed especially for the enjoyment of the little ones”.
The fair offers various workshops, musical concerts, a play space with inflatables and other attractions, along with food and shopping areas. It will also feature the new Christmas House of Coca Cola, which from Thursday to Sunday, from 18:00 to 22:00, will offer visitors the multinational’s interpretation of the ‘Legend of Christmas in Maspalomas’, becoming one of the main points of attraction for the event.
The fair, which will focus around solidarity for the delivery of donations and a contribution from the profits earned on tickets for attractions, will offer musical concerts and music sessions with DJs, workshops on recycling and Christmas floral decoration, letters for Papa and Mama Noel, storytelling shows and Christmas musicals among other surprises.
Market open from Thursday to Saturday 18:00-00:00 and on Sunday 12:00-19:00
All the programmed activities are free of charge, thanks to the collaboration of the attendees with the municipal campaign to collect food, hygiene products for children and toys.so just bring along some items to donate.
The challenge is to beat last year’s donation record of 11,000 kilos of food and 1,200 toys that were collected during the first edition of this Christmas Market, held last year in the ball courts attached to the Maspalomas Sports Pavilion, which were delivered to various organisations throughout the municipality.
