Top picks for the coming weekend include the maritime processions both up in La Isleta, in the capital, and down along the coast of Mogán, in honour of Virgen del Carmen, the patron protector of sailors and fisherfolk, the Canarias Jazz Festival comes to a head and world class performances at the Temudas festival, both in Las Palmas, the Maspalomas Trumpet Festival performs free brass, there is a water festival in the mountains of Teror, and dog rescue charity weekend at the Market Puerto Rico.
The sun is expected shine across the south with temperatures climbing to around 30º in the shade. To the north some cloud is forecast, but temperatures will still be in the high 20ºs. As always with weather on a subtropical island, we may just have to wait and see, chances are it’s going to be marvellous.
