Applications for camping permits on the island of Gran Canaria are now simpler and more efficient than ever with a new virtual reservation portal developed by the Cabildo, a tool designed to reduce procedures and to facilitate the management.
The portal, hosted at http://acampadas.grancanaria.com, allows direct booking of places and the ability to obtain authorisation via the internet to avoid the unnecessary travel to Las Palmas that used to be required. The new facility should also significantly reduces the volume of calls handled by the Cabido’s Oficina de Información y Atención al Ciudadano (OIAC).
This new booking system complements the previous ones, in such a way that anyone who wishes can still request their permission by phone by calling 928 21 92 29 or by going in person to the OIAC, located in Calle Bravo Murillo in Las Palmas. (access through Pérez Galdós street).
Permits to use the many camping areas, as well as the recreational area of Brezal de Santa Cristina and Finca de Osorio, can be processed three days before the chosen date, as a minimum, and from the first working day of the previous month, as the maximum, until the limit of available places is exhausted. In the case of the Finca de Osorio, the request can be made 1 day before.
