The main street in Pueblo de Mogán will be decorated from the 1st to the 13th of June to celebrate the local patron saint festivities. The San Antonio El Chico 2018 festivities program integrates tradition, culture, sports, leisure with the participation of many residents in the organisation of activities.

The program of festivities includes musical shows and activities for children, traditional children’s games, traditional games for adults, comedy shows, fiestas and concerts.

Here are some highlights of the events ahead:

Friday 1 June:  the proclamation of the festivities and the IX Memorial Juan José Rodríguez Sánchez, which will feature music performances starting at 21:00 in Parque Nicolás Quesada.

Saturday 2 June : Romeria, the pilgrimage will be offered to San Antonio El Chico, in which numerous old fashioned carts, parrandas and groupings of locals all dressed in traditional costume will participate. Starting at 19:00.
It is important to remember that all people who attend this pilgrimage “respect the tradition and go properly dressed in traditional clothing.” Thus, those people who do not wear traditional clothing will be required to stay outside the margins defined for the route of the pilgrimage.

Sunday 3 June : Corpus Christi celebrations at 09:00 elaboration of colourful carpets and altars

Wednesday 6 June at 18:00 Traditional games for children and adults; bag races, pañuelillo, spoon, piñata, dominoes and cards in Club San Antonio and Plaza Sarmiento y Coto. In the evening at 20:30 Children’s musical “Cantacuentos” at Nicolás Quesada Park

Saturday 9 June at 18:00 Lowering of the Branch (Bajada de la rama) with the Gran Canaria and Agaete bands. Departure from Avda. De la Constitución. In the evening at 22:00 Traditional dance with Mariachi Alma Ranchera and Pepe Benavente at Nicolás Quesada Park.

Sunday 10 June  from 12:00 Water Festival MOGAN h2o
at 19:00 Inflatables, foosball, slides, inflatable donut ramps and water tubes, a pool with boats. * all ages, do not forget your swimsuit and cholas.

Tuesday  12 June “Noche de Vísperas” The eve of the main celebrations:   at 22:30  Concierto SWING STAR in Parque Nicolás Quesada and at 00:00 Fireworks display

Wednesday 13 June, the main Day for the festivities. Eucharist at 12:00 followed by a religious procession
