The Cabildo de Gran Canaria has published a wine guide that includes the best wines from the island introducing readers to 33 ‘Designation of Origin’ wineries on the island.  The guide offers, among other information,  ideal pairings for grancanario wines and the recommended temperature for consumption.

The book, which is also published in digital format, has a free mobile application with which anyone interested can learn about the wineries.

The Denominación Gran Canaria wineries produce about 310,000 bottles a year, of which 17,000 bottles are exported abroad, which means an income of more than two million euros.

The guide is available in Spanish and English and encourages enjoyment of the wide variety of wines from the island, whites, young reds, oaks and malvasías, all under the common seal of the Regulatory Council that guarantees its quality.

Each winery is presented with a text that details its location, production capacity, technology applied to the production process, place and altitude in which the vineyards are planted and organization of the activity.

Get to know the wines and wineries of the island of Gran Canaria through this guide, which you can view and / or download. It is a work carried out by LeCanarien editions for the Ministry of Primary Sector and Food Sovereignty of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria
