Three new direct air routes from Gran Canaria to Pamplona, Zaragoza and Murcia

Gran Canaria will have three new Binter airlines routes that will link the island with Pamplona, Zaragoza and Murcia on the east of mainland Spain.  Connectivity with the peninsula, and so mainland Europe, will improve with each of the cities having two weekly flights scheduled.

Canarian airline Binter has already put these new routes on sale which will operate from the end of October and facilitate arrivals of domestic, Spanish national tourists, a very important growth market for Gran Canaria as from January to July this year, more than 370,000 travellers from the mainland arrived on the island, an increase of 43,000 people and 13.15% more than in the same period of 2018, according to figures from the Minister for Tourism, Mobility and Transport of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria, Miguel Ángel Pérez.

New routes will increase the flow of domestic passengers to Gran Canaria. The figures released indicate that more than 682,000 people in total flew to the island through Binter during the first seven months of 2019, 46,000 more travellers and 7.26% more than in January to July of the previous year, in which 636,000 people flew with the airline, Miguel Ángel Pérez added.

Binter’s Director of Institutional Relations and Communication, Noelia Curbelo, stressed that passengers on the new routes will enjoy various advantages offered by the Canarian regional airline that distinguishes it from other airlines by including courtesy menus, luggage and the seat selection.

Gran Canaria – Pamplona – Gran Canaria: Friday and Sunday
Gran Canaria – Zaragoza – Gran Canaria: Monday and Wednesday
Gran Canaria –Murcia- Gran Canaria: Tuesday and Saturday

These new routes join those already operated by Binter from the island, to Mallorca 3 times a week, Monday, Thursday and Sunday, and to Vigo twice weekly, Wednesday and Sunday.
