A man was arrested in the south of Gran Canaria last weekend, accused of stealing from an apartment complex in Playa del Inglés, on the touristed south of the island, following a break in, reported the Police Headquarters of the Canary Islands (Jefatura Superior de Policía de Canarias).
The theft took place on November 21, when the owner of the apartment, in a complex in Playa del Inglés, said that, upon returning to her home, she had found the door broken and a television stolen along with several personal belongings.
The investigation identified the alleged perpetrator, a 31 year old man of foreign nationality with the initials KG, who it is thought, after breaking the door with a kick had entered the interior of the apartment, said a statement.
Once located in the Maspalomas area, he was arrested by police officers as the alleged perpetrator of of robbery with force.
