One of the most traditional and popular fiestas of the area, the fiesta dedicated to water, La Fiesta de la Traída del Agua. Simply a chance to throw some water around with thousands of others. Bucket fulls (any traditional looking vessel that holds water will do), and it would be also best to dress in a traditional looking costume but any choice of clothing will do. The organisers urge you to wear some typical looking Canarian attire, black pants/skirts, white shirts but its a water party so dress appropriately. The traditional fun starts at 12:00 at Lomo Magullo.

This fiesta, as with all modern Las Nieves fiestas, is an adaptation of an aboriginal ritual intended to pray to the gods for the most important commodity on the island, water.

Saturday 12 August : Romería de Ayacata, pilgrimage offering – The most inland part of San Bartolomé de Tirajana. (Fiestas Patronales en Honor a la Virgen del Carmen)
