Slight drop in temperatures in the Canary Islands
Scattered cloudy skies prevail today, heavier on the north of the island, according to the forecast from the Spanish State Meteorological Agency AEMET. Temperatures will see a slight decline, most notable in midland and highland areas with winds expected from the northeast.
At sea, the Western Isles of the Canaries Archipelago can expect northeasterly winds subsiding from force 5-6 to force 4-5; whereas in the eastern isles around Gran Canaria, easterly force 4-5 winds are expected, veering north and subsiding to force 3-4. Rough seas with swell decreasing. Swell to the north of 1-2 meters in height.
Over the coming days, the north of the larger islands will remain cloudy; in other areas, cloudy intervals are expected. Weak and dispersed rain may reach northern shores of the larger islands and Lanzarote and Fuerteventura. Temperatures remain unchanged or slightly increasing, mainly in midlands and over higher ground. Northeast winds at intervals on southwestern coasts.
GRAN CANARIA TODAY. General cloud in the north and in other areas, partly cloudy with cloudy intervals. Some weak and scattered rain is possible in the north, mostly early and late hours. Temperatures falling slightly, more sharply in the midlands and highlands.
Easterly wind of 25 to 35 km / h, loose through the day, turning northwest in the afternoon; in upland areas, increasing to northwest, variable and lazy through the afternoon at between 25-35 km / h.
