San Bartolomé de Tirajana are carrying out road works in September. Re-asphalting, improving pedestrian crossings and road signs for dozens of streets in Castillo del Romeral, Aldea Blanca, El Tablero, San Fernando, Sonnenland and Campo Internacional.
The works are to include complete improvement of access to Sonnenland via the roundabout that leads into the El Palmeral urbanisation, and the fixing and replacement of sections of protective fence in Castillo del Romeral.
Resurfacing will take place on Calle Thomás Edison and Carmen Laforet in Sonnenland and Calle Manuel Hernández López in Aldea Blanca.
Access and interior parking for Calle Egipto in Playa del Inglés is to be improved.
Streets in Castillo del Romeral will be attended to including Calles Barlovento, Benecharo, San Miguel, María de La Rocha and Rafael Massieu, as well as other street work.
These road works have been organised by the town council with its own funds. They are part of the works and services plan that the town hall have scheduled for this year.
Meanwhile, in Mogán, more than 15 months of work on the main street through Arguineguín continues haphazardly with no real end in site, while in Playa de Mogán the unfinished bus station remains untouched, though the long awaited health center improvements have moved on.
