Search for local child, lost near Arguineguín

On Tuesday afternoon Proteccion Civil received a Policia Local Alert and CECOES 112 report regarding the disappearance of a 10-year-old between the urban area of ​​Arguineguín and the Pino Seco ravine.

Units were immediately deployed along with a GES helicopter and several volunteers from the Proteccion Civil to proceed with an area search.

For more than an hour teams searched various paths, ravines and urban areas, while the helicopter circled between the barranco de Arguineguín, the GC1 entry point to Mogán and Pino Seco.

Eventually the child, of British descent, was located in good health and transferred to the local Health Centre.

Operational resources activated included Local Police, Civil Guard, Consortium Firefighters, GES Land units, GES Helicopter and Civil Protection volunteer teams.
