The Cabildo de Gran Canaria has once again provided the Loro Parque group with a favourable report recommending municipal licenses be granted for construction of their new Siam Park water park for Maspalomas and modifications to the surrounding roads, according to a statement from Ángel Víctor Torres, The Vice President of the Cabildo of Gran Canaria and Minister for Public Works, Infrastructure and Sports.
In a statement the Minister of Public Works explained that the latest meeting with the representatives of the Kiessling family was an important step for the company awaiting the final pending report.
Various issues that had to do with channeling works in the El Veril ravine including landscaping and other concerns have now been resolved at various meetings over several months and have culminated in a draft resolution.
The biggest issue was in the channeling of water in both directions and a proposal for public and private landscaping included in the project, which has now finally been resolved.
With the final report, being drafted over the coming days, developers can now formally apply for the final license from the City of San Bartolomé de Tirajana to start work as soon as possible.
