June 24, 1478 an army, commanded by Captain Juan Rejón sent by the Crown of Castile of Castile, set up a camp near the mouth of the Guiniguada ravine. That was the seed from which, a little later, the first city founded by the Crown of Castile in the Atlantic, grew to become our Capital.
